Substantial Diving Contract awarded to SubseaPartner.

SubseaPartner have been awarded by Ocean Installer a significant subcontract on Vår Energi’s Balder Future project. FPSO Jotun A shall be prepared for an overhaul at Rosenberg Worley and a subsea scope to remove the remaining risers and mooring chains after offshore disconnection shall be removed by divers.

Besides from using the inshore DSV Risøy, SubseaPartner have utilized the offshore Light Diving Craft Venturer, accommodated by the chartered vessel Olympic Challenger as the operational centre and accommodation facility. The planning have been ongoing for nearly 5 months, close up to 60 divers, dive technicians and Supervisors will work around the clock to complete the tasks in a safe and controlled manner and the operation is already underway.

-This contract is a true testimony of local commitment as the majority subcontracts given by SubseaPartner is local such as Reach Subsea, Claxton Engineering and Skyssbaatservice. For SubseaPartner this is a proof of our LEAN value chain that enable a small contractor to comply with the most stringent diving requirements set by the Norwegian Authorities as well as the end-client. The complexity of this operation are most of all related to logistical matters however, the industry standard that the Operator grant us gives us the oportunity to plan and execute with care of employers and using the best equipment available. The Norwegian diving contractor have, throughout the past years established to be one of the most reliable offshore diving contractors in Norway- as well as in UK for air diving operations in connection with floating production units.
