Task: Mechanical Repair to Seawater Valve

Remedial work on seawater discharge valve controls

Challenge:
Control rods on seawater discharge valves were reported broken in the service shaft of the Gullfaks platform

Solution:
A portable dive spread was mobilised to the Gullfaks platform. Platform riggers installed a work platform inside the platform leg. After confined space recovery exercises, divers working alongside a rope access team changed out two of the spring supports
